Harper Bazaar's December issue features a great circus-inspired spread. With bold stripes, mirrors, sequins and lamé it has all the glitz and glamour of the big top. I especially love the mirrored dress and the jagged pink frock with the big black boots... delightful.

Miss me?
It's been a whole week since my last post... sorry about that! I was in Atlanta, or Hot-lanta whichever you prefer, visiting family. I had the greatest time but you wouldn't believe how much I missed posting!! I was able to see and do so many fun things while I was there. We went to the High Museum to see the Leonard da Vinci exhibit... simply amazing! Looking at his tiny sketches it is clear how developed his genius really was. We also went to see the Second City: Atlanta show, a UGA game, the World of Coke, and of course we squeezed in some outlet shopping. So fun and so exhausting! The pictures above are from Atlanta based designer Maria Harper's couture collection. Ahhh... glad to be back.

She's a Maniac...
I've been watching a lot of daytime television lately. Desperately trying to avoid Maury, Jerry, Judge Judy, and other tragic shows, I've been searching out movies. Today, thanks to Oxygen, I watched "Flashdance". I haven't seen it in at least 5 years and I had forgotten how much I like it. It made me want to put on a leotard and leg warmers and dance around my living room. Luckily, leotards are not hard to come by.

Believe me Natalie...
Natalie Portman has always been adventurous with her movie roles and doesn't mind making sacrifices for them. She's been a stripper, Queen Amidala, and even shaved her head to be Evey for V for Vendetta. Natalie is totally transformed again for this month's V Magazine. She's tough, dark, and edgy, almost like she just stepped off the set of her rap video spoof for SNL. I love how she keeps surprising everyone... and I really hope she keeps this look! :)

Feeling Nostalgic...
Lately, I've found myself feeling nostalgic. Can you feel nostalgic for a time you didn't actually live through? My imagination runs wild wishing for a simpler, fashionable, utopia that was no doubt really troubled by war and comparable financial problems (like so many stylish times were). More often than not, my imagination takes me to the 1940s. I don't know why I would consider this a simpler time... I think maybe the glamourous makeup, wavy hair, beautiful dresses, and of course the swing dancing!

Lounging beautifully
I seem to have stumbled upon a lot of free time lately. This is how I would like to spend it. Just laying around in head to toe Balenciaga. Platform heels, silk dresses, and polka dotted stockings... perfection.

Dreaming of...
Bottega Veneta's oxidized silver Diams necklace...
and Aurélie Bidermann's Plume de Cygne gold and enameled necklace. Sigh...
